 Reliable deburring and edge rounding

ARKU offers machines for deburring and edge rounding of thin sheets metal parts after laser cutting and punching. Depending on the final requirements, various methods of deburring technologies can be used. The geometry, number of pieces and part dimensions, also have an influence on the machine configuration. The goal is to always achieve consistent, high quality results for deburring and edge rounding of your punched and laser-cut parts.

Deburring The burr can vary when punching or laser cutting your materials. Burrs created via laser cutting and punching adhere to the material in various strengths. Therefore finding the comprehensive deburring solution is crucial.

Edge rounding A good edge rounding result is characterized by removing the sharpness on the edge of your laser-cut or punched materials. This prevents injuries that may be caused by handling the material, while simultaneously improving downstream processing. Furthermore, a radius at the edge of the materials also improves paint adhesion.

Oxide removal If you are cutting via a CO2-laser with oxygen, the EdgeRacer can remove any oxide layers along the cutting edge of the material.

Surface finish Punched and laser-cut parts often require high demands on the surface. A beautiful surface is a pleasant side effect of the deburring process. In some cases, a specific type of surface finish could be necessary.

The EdgeBreak 4000 series was specifically designed to process materials after they had been plasma or flame-cut. The machine deburrs and edge rounds parts up to 100 mm thick more reliable than ever before.

EdgeBreaker 4000 series ensures high process reliability whether plasma or flame-cut parts: Even slag thicker than tree millimeters can be handled by the EdgeBreaker 4000. The machine delivers high quality results due to double-sided processing, pure power and outstanding innovation. We will gladly advise you on how you can benefit from such a piece of machinery. Ideally we would like to demonstrate the machines performance in our leveling and deburring  center with your parts.

Deburring Deburring of flame cut burrs can be a time consuming process. This is not the case anymore since the introduction of the EdgeBreaker 4000 The oscillating drum allows the machine to remove burrs from parts up to 100 mm thick reliable and fast-even in large quantities.

Slag removal The slag on a oxyfuel or plasma-cut parts has to be removed via hand grinding before the actual deburring process takes place. This is done to ensure a reliable and economical subsequent deburring process. Tanks to the machine offered by ARKU, having to manually remove the slag is no longer necessary.

Edge rounding The edge rounding of edge for flame -cut parts includes the removal of the sharp edge along the material. In addition, an adequate radius is conducive to paint adhesion. With the help of the deburring blocks, the edge rounding is achieved on both sides of the material
